Keyhook makes it easy to contact your landlord should you ever need to get in touch with them.


Web App:

  1. Click the "Chat" Link in the top left hand corner of the page.

  2. Click on the name of the property in the left hand sidebar of the chat screen.

  3. This will open a chat box where you can message your landlord, this chat is open for all tenants, so they will also be able to read and reply to your messages here.

If you wish to message your landlord privately. 

  1. Click the "Chat" Link in the top left hand corner of the page.

  2. In the left hand sidebar, click the "Start New Conversation" button.

  3. A list of contacts will be loaded, click on your landlords name.

  4. This will start a private conversation with them where you can message them 1 on 1.

Mobile App:

  1. Open the mobile app.

  2. Click on the chat tab button in the bottom tab bar.

  3. You will see a list of your current conversations. 

  4. Click on the list item with the address of the property with the landlord you wish to contact. 

  5. This will open the chat between you, the other tenants and the landlord where you can contact them.

If you wish to message your landlord privately. 

  1. Open the mobile app.

  2. Click on the chat tab button in the bottom tab bar.

  3. You will see a list of your current conversations.

  4. Click on the chat bubble icon in the top right hand corner of the screen.

  5. This will open a screen with various contacts, click on your landlord in the list.

  6. You will then be prompted to send an initial message, write your message in the textbox.

  7. This will create a new 1 on 1 private conversation with your landlord, where you can then continue to chat with them.


Please note, certain Keyhook features will have their own individual comment sections. We recommend you always use those first if they are applicable. These show up for things like inspections and service requests.
